MORTGAGES & LEGAL

We have a professional relationship with many of the Spanish banks who we would recommend clients looking for a mortgage. Normally the interest rate is quite low in Spain and you have the choice of Capital Repayment or Interest Only.

If you were requesting a mortgage the following documentation would be required:  Banks will normally only allow 60/70 per cent to non residents.

  • Passport
  • I.E. (Fiscal identification number in Spain)
  • Employment Details
  • Income tax purpose (p-60)
  • 3 last wage sheets (pension sheets)
  • Bank A/C statement from the last 3 months
  • Credit Bureau report
  • Self-Employed Applicant
  • Activity/profession/business
  • Inland Revenue Full tax return for the year ended 5th April (current year)
  • Chartered accountants report last 2 years (balance sheet, profit and loss accounts)
  • Last 3 months Bank Account statement
  • Credit Bureau report


If it is a resale property: Property description (title deed).

If it is a new property: Copy of the private contract with the builder.
